>> Martin Brass
Blue Latitude digital consultant

Martin Brass - Managing Director

In 1994, in the dark ages when I was working in the (analogue) music industry, I recognised that digital technology was going to have a profound effect, not just on my industry, but on all industries and in all areas – from creation through to consumption.

My observation of the impact and implications of this level of digital change was the catalyst for setting up Blue Latitude in 2002– to help organisations treat the challenges of innovation  as opportunities to build new businesses and take advantage of the emerging digital landscape.

Working with my long- time friend Fred Bassett, we were initially focused on the entertainment sector, working with clients to develop business models that unlock value, where none had been before.  This was done with the firm belief that the ‘customer lies at the heart of the business’ and that by understanding the world through their eyes, we could gain valuable insights to help us develop strategy, innovate or simply optimise our clients’ existing businesses.

Now Blue Latitude approaches its 10th year and these values still prevail and are shared by our employees, our clients and by increasing numbers of organisations who have made the same realisation that I did way back when; that digitally-driven innovation will transform every aspect of our personal and professional lives and culture.

Today, my role in Blue Latitude is to manage and grow a team of people of whom are passionate about digital change and recognise the gap between our clients’ business now and their potential performance in the future. This team has helped to build Blue Latitude into a world class consulting firm, working with international blue chip clients and venture partners across industry sectors and organisational functions.

From sales, marketing, PR & communications, though R&D, customer service and HR our clients continue to be delighted by our work in helping them to address their digital challenges and reach their digital goals.
