Blue Latitude supports London Design Jam #3 at City University London

Blue Latitude User Experience

Blue Latitude, along with Mozilla Labs and City University London, are supporting the third London Design Jam taking place on Saturday, 2nd July 2011.

Design Jams are one-day sessions (aimed at Interactive designers, UX researchers, information architects, web and graphic designers, developers and anyone with a passion for UX) where cross-functional teams solve engaging UX challenges.  The non-profit sessions champion open source thinking, with participants learning from each other while working on ‘real-life’ user experience challenges. The day aims to improve collaboration skills and help attendees learn and practice various UX techniques, including but not limited to Research, Brainstorming, Sketching, Wire-framing and Prototyping.

David Asafa, Analytics Consultant, will be representing Blue Latitude at the Design Jam #3, where the challenge for the day has yet to be set.  If you ask us though, with mentors like Hannah Donovan who led design at Last.fm for five years, Matthew Ogle who works for music intelligence platform The Echo Nest and Jason Mesut who uses technology to create distributed electronic music, it wouldn’t take Sherlock Holmes to guess that the challenge may be music related!

Blue Latitude is delighted to support Design Jam #3, not only because it’s taking place on our doorstep but also because it’s closely aligned with our user-centred approach to digital innovation and solving digital challenges in marketing and business.

For information on our UX offering, read Pete Gale’s, our head of User Experience, blog on Finding More Than We Can Know? Getting the Best from Customer Research or take a look at our User Experience Credentials and read case studies from the work we undertook with professional service companies Hays and Mendas. Finally, if you really love what you see and would like to become a part of our team we are recruiting for a User Experience Consultant.

Unfortunately, tickets have already sold out for Design Jam #3. You can still add your name to the waitlist by visiting the Eventbrite ticket page.  For more information around the event, be sure to check out the Design Jam wiki and follow @DesignJamLondon, @MozConcept or the #DesignJam & #DJL3 hashtags on Twitter for the latest information and outputs from the Design Jam.
